CRITICAL SYSTEM ERROR

 

You awake in a room with obsidian panels and screens covering the walls. On one large monitor on the western wall, a blue screen flickers with the message “UPLOAD INCOMPLETE. CORRECT CRITICAL SYSTEM ERRORS. SYSTEM SHUTDOWN IN 300 MINUTES.”

 

You remember little of yourself. Your personality is still intact, as are your memories of the horror that was 2020 but you don’t know much about who you are. You have no idea what’s going on but you get the sense that you need to figure it out by the time that clock hits 0. The other people in the room look familiar but you can’t quite put your finger on why. Are they here to help or hinder you?

 

UPLOAD is an online immersive experience that combines digital and physical elements. It will involve investigation, angst and making difficult decisions. It is played for 2-3 hours in a Discord server using video chat, and also through objects which will be provided before time in. There are going to be a number of runs throughout November.
